RE: Are Buddhists Soulless Shells?

in ThoughtfulDailyPost10 months ago

It was very interesting to read. I am a Buddhist, but on the other hand, I also believe in Animism. I think everything has spirits and gods inside. However, I also can't forget about the concept of "無我.” I think the concept of our existence is such an eco thing. We recycle and reuse our souls (mind?) again and again... I sometimes can't wait to go back to see the 無 concept, but when I see it, maybe my feelings are also becoming 無 kana...

Anyway, I liked your childhood story @dbooster! I felt very special when I was sick and watched very creepy, interesting, funny movies like you did when you were young!

Buddhist beliefs go well with Animism, which is why Shinto and Buddhism have gone hand in hand for so long in Japan. Where does "I" end and where does the tree begin? My skin? The tree bark? Maybe.

Yeah, maybe our mind will go that way after we die. They say that the highest level of meditation is 無. When the Buddha meditated at that level, he forgot himself and forgot the world and he was one with the universe. But eventually it ended and he came back to himself, and that is what led him to pursue the middle way.

Glad you enjoyed the story 😃 That movie was creepy!
