Imitation is Limitation

Life is full of ups and downs with lots of challenges coming from different angles. Few weeks ago we were all excited to come into a new year with resolution goals and so many objectives. I just want to remind you that time is ticking, don't feel it is so early to start, tik tok it keeps moving. Time is not at anyone's disparity, you have to be at the disparity of time.

Permit me to move into the theme of today's reading. Jesus went to the synagogue and began to teach. His teaching made a deep impact on them because unlike the scribes he taught them with authority. If you reflect on the above, Jesus wasn't the first to teach in the synagogue the scribes taught there too but he made a unique impression. If Jesus Christ had come to teach the way other scribes taught he wouldn't have made any impact. Hold on there, let's bring this to real life. How do you make an impact in the lives of people around you? How do you make a difference in your workplace and homes?

Everyone has a unique identity which makes you stand out. Your unique identity is being yourself. You may ask what do I mean by being yourself; Being yourself is being true to yourself, living your life without listening to others opinions and one thing is that you can't change the opinions of what people feel about you whether good, bad or ugly. Loving yourself the way you are, accepting yourself and not letting anyone make you feel less of yourself. Don't ever think you aren't good enough. You are the best version of yourself and your unique identity will make an impact in the lives of people living around you.

Furthermore, in the reading Jesus encountered a man possessed by an unclean spirit and he casted it out from the man. This reading is from Mark 1:21-28. His teaching in the synagogue brought out a man with an unclean spirit that's the impact we are talking about. How does your way of life affect those around you? Do you impose a negative or positive impact on people? Make a difference in everything you do, both business, social life and spiritual growth always have a unique identity. You may ask what about role models. When I was growing up I had a role model. I love this and I will love that about my role model. I wished to be like her but then I was living the life of another person. I had to make a turn around to the right path of accepting myself the way I Am and loving myself so dearly.

Admiring your role model, choose the character you love that will help your growth, send the junk to the trash can.
How do you make an impact on society? Think about it!
Take the thread of Jesus Christ not minding the way the scribe taught in the synagogue and make an impact with everyone that comes around you.

Sort:

There's a lot of pressure around, particularly the pressure to survive. All of these things makes it easier negative things to take root and grow thus making self love also hard

I get your point but then what is riches without enjoying with your love ones.
