En casa todavía hay muchas tareas pendientes, pero es imposible atenderlas todas en el mismo lapso temporal, por ejemplo, la más compleja, impermeabilizar el techo. Mi abuela decía que las labores del hogar nunca terminan, así que empecé a convivir con esa idea sin que llegara a afectarme demasiado.

La remodelación del área de la cocina va paso a paso, había que cambiar la porcelana, debido a que estaba deteriorada. Sin embargo, a mi esposa se le ocurrió una idea que abarataría costos con un resultado muy parecido. Claro, estamos conscientes que esto solo será por poco tiempo hasta que logremos conseguir el presupuesto para los arreglos permanentes.

The remodeling of the kitchen area is going step by step, the porcelain had to be changed because it was deteriorated. However, my wife came up with an idea that would reduce costs with a very similar result. Of course, we are aware that this will only be for a short time until we can get the budget for the permanent repairs.

Decidimos comprar paneles adhesivos cuyo diseño simula a una porcelana. Mi esposa eligió uno blanco con detalles grises y ocres. Así que empezamos a medir y a colocarlos en el área del fregadero, dedicamos dos horas a esta tarea. El resultado fue aceptable, el pegamento de estos paneles es bastante fuerte, se debe trabajar con mucho cuidado porque no es papel Contac. Luego de pegar cada panel, los ajustamos bien a la pared pasándoles un trapo con cierta presión. Allí en las fotos, pueden ver el resultado.

We decided to buy adhesive panels whose design simulates porcelain. My wife chose a white one with gray and ocher details. So we started measuring and placing them in the sink area, we spent two hours on this task. The result was acceptable, the glue of these panels is quite strong, you have to work very carefully because it is not Contac paper. After gluing each panel, we adjusted them well to the wall by wiping them with a cloth with some pressure. There in the photos, you can see the result.

Al principio tenía dudas acerca de la durabilidad de estos adhesivos, de allí que primero instalamos uno en la cocina, en el área del fregadero, para probar su impermeabilidad y el resultado fue satisfactorio, durante un mes todo transcurrió sin novedad. Por tal razón, nos animamos a colocar varios sobre la cerámica.

At first I had doubts about the durability of these adhesives, so we first installed one in the kitchen, in the sink area, to test its impermeability and the result was satisfactory, for a month everything went smoothly. For this reason, we decided to place several of them on the ceramic tile.
