Hello beautiful people, it has been a long time since I posted in this community, but this time I felt I had to do it because I found a supermarket that I had heard about before, it is called Kalea, it is relatively new in the city of Valencia (Venezuela) and I think they are going to open (if they have not already done so) branches in Caracas (the capital) I went to take a look to see how it was and whether or not it was worth buying there. Because it is in the north of the city I thought the prices were probably higher because it is always like that.
Hola gente linda, hace mucho tiempo que yo no publicaba en esta comunidad, pero en esta ocasión sentí que debía hacerlo porque encontré un supermercado del que me habían hablado antes, se llama Kalea, es relativamente nuevo en la ciudad de Valencia (Venezuela) y creo que van a inaugurar (si no lo han hecho ya) sucursales en Caracas (la capital) Fui a echar un vistazo a ver que tal era y si valía o no la pena comprar allí. Debido a que está en el norte de la ciudad pensé que los precios probablemente estaban más elevados porque siempre suele ser así.
The branch I visited is in the Concepto La Viña shopping center and the truth is that it looks quite spacious and even has tables outside so that customers can drink a coffee or taste the desserts they sell inside.
La sucursal que yo visité está en el centro comercial Concepto La Viña y la verdad es que se ve bastante amplio e incluso tiene mesas afuera para que los clientes puedan beber un café o degustar de los postres que venden adentro.
The first thing that caught my attention is the width of the aisles, they are really wide, so you can tell that the supermarket was designed to receive many people. Each shelf is very well organized and everything is in its place, although in terms of prices I was not wrong, they are very high compared to supermarkets in the south of the city, but I expected that, however this offers benefits that I have not seen in others, and is that in addition to the delivery service they also offer the service to make purchases through the website and then go to pick up the products in the store. On the other hand, if your purchase exceeds 20 $ the delivery will be free.
Lo primero que llamó mi atención es lo ancho de los pasillos, de verdad son muy amplios, por lo tanto se nota que el supermercado fue diseñado para recibir a muchísimas personas. Cada estante está muy bien ordenado y cada cosa está en su lugar, aunque en materia de precios vaya que no me equivoqué, son muy elevados en comparación con los supermercados del sur de la ciudad, pero eso ya yo lo esperaba, no obstante este ofrece beneficios que no he visto en otros, y es que además del servicio de Delivery también te ofrecen el servicio de hacer las compras por la página web y luego ir a recoger los productos en la tienda. Por otra parte si tu compra pasa de los 20 $ el delivery será grátis.

En materia de hortalizas, verduras y frutas noté que los precios son más equilibrados y equiparados a los del sur, no es mucha la diferencia y de hecho hay mucha más variedad de productos, por ejemplo las cebollas están en 1.20 $ por kilo (lo mismo que en supermercados más populares del sur, sin embargo en las ferias de verduras se puede conseguir hasta en 0.90 $ por kilo) El brocoli tiene un precio de 3.70 (es un precio elevado pero no suele conseguirse mucho en todos los supermercados) la coliflor por su parte tiene un costo 3.40 $

But I was really shocked to see the price of these avocados, according to the label they are grafted and that is the reason for their abnormal size, which obviously makes it not an organic product, but the price is (in my opinion) exorbitant, $6 each. That is the price they normally have in the countries where they are exported, like Germany, for example.
Pero realmente me quedé impactada al ver el precio de estos aguacates, según la etiqueta son injertos y esa es la razón de su tamaño anormal, lo que obviamente hace que no sea un producto orgánico, pero el precio es (en mi opinión) exorbitante, 6 dólares cada uno. Ese es el precio que normalmente tienen en los paises donde los exportan, como Alemania, por ejemplo.
I liked this detail, right in the organic and healthy products aisle they had a bicycle that is not for sale but as a mere decoration, perhaps to further promote healthy living.
Me gustó este detalle, justo en el pasillo de los productos orgánicos y saludables tenían una bicicleta que no está a la venta sino como una mera decoración, tal vez para promover aún más la vida saludable.
In conclusion I could tell you that this supermarket is beautiful, big and has a lot of products of all kinds, is very well stocked, but in terms of economy is not a very good option, at least not for those who have a limited budget for household purchases, however it is good to get a specific product that you can not get in other supermarkets.
En conclusión yo podría decirles que este supermercado es hermoso, grande y tiene muchísimos productos de toda clase, está muy bien surtido, pero en materia de economía no es una muy buena opción, al menos no para los que tenemos un presupuesto limitado para las compras del hogar, sin embargo viene bien para conseguir algún producto en específico que no puedas conseguir en otros supermercados.
