Yesterday, I and three friends went for a walk to my uncle's garden, and we made this trip to go to the garden to plant some oil palm seedlings in my uncle's garden. After a few minutes we arrived at the plantation, suddenly my uncle followed us from behind, and when we arrived at the garden, we immediately took a short break in a hut that had been provided as a resting place.
We also bought some snacks and a pack of coffee to accompany our short break in the hut before we started working, we enjoyed a cup of coffee together while enjoying the beauty of nature decorated with several vast expanses and towering mountains behind it, of course it was a very pleasant thing to do especially if done together with friends and family, it was still early in the morning making the atmosphere still very cold with the wind blowing against our bodies and a cup of coffee in our hands making the atmosphere even more enjoyable.
The atmosphere was very pleasant, time passed very quickly without us realizing it, the day was starting to get hot so we had to immediately decide to go down to the plantation and start planting oil palm seedlings.
The problem occurred when we wanted to start this work, namely the hoe used by my friend looked damaged which made him have to get a new hoe at home, besides the distance from the garden to the house was very far, it took up to 2 hours, but what else could we do because if there was no hoe we couldn't do this job, so one of my friends decided to go back down to the house to get a hoe. and in between waiting for my friend to get a hoe at home I also took the time to take some pictures showing the vast expanse of nature and the beautiful mountains towering high, of course this view is a view that can be enjoyed when we are in my uncle's garden
This is a view that I am used to seeing because I am a child who lives in a village so my dominant job is as a farmer, but we do not know how all of our friends view this beautiful view, especially people who live in urban areas, maybe they rarely see natural scenery that is still very beautiful and views of towering mountains, the same as me who lives in the countryside, I rarely see the urban atmosphere and activities in the city, everything is the opposite but has the same meaning, it is a difference that covers each other's shortcomings.
But after waiting for a while, finally my friend came back with a new hoe, and after he arrived at the plantation we immediately started the work, namely planting oil palm seedlings together.
it seems like my friend is digging the ground to put oil palm seedlings, and the depth of the soil is estimated from the size of the oil palm seedlings, but usually the depth of the soil that we dig is about 1.5 cm, which is very reasonable and is considered a common thing to do. and before planting oil palm seedlings, we must first clean the plantation area so that the area is clean and allows the oil palm seedlings to grow well, and our goal in cleaning the plantation area first is to avoid grass and wild trees around the oil palm from absorbing the nutrients that we give to the oil palm later.
And after the soil has been dug to a depth of approximately 1.5 cm, we immediately put the oil palm seeds into the soil and immediately cover them with the excavated soil.
However, to get this job easily, I immediately put my cellphone in my small bag and started to focus on planting these oil palm seeds first. The sun that was starting to shine made me feel hot all over my body which made my clothes wet with my own sweat. We immediately worked hard so that this job could be finished quickly, and when the clock showed 12.00 noon, I could no longer stand the heat of the sun and decided to return to the hut to rest.
I saw my uncle spraying the wild grass there, it seemed he didn't care about the very hot weather and continued with his work, it was true the sun was already very hot.
I, who could no longer stand the heat of the sun, immediately ran to the hut and rested there, and not long after I rested, suddenly my friends also returned to the hut and we rested together, while sitting we discussed what menu we would cook today, but one of my friends gave his opinion, namely making shrimp paste chili sauce with young cassava leaves, we agreed with this opinion and started cooking.
We immediately divided the tasks to speed up the cooking work, some picked cassava leaves, lit the fire, looked for firewood, and cleaned the dirty equipment. It happened that my job was to look for young cassava leaves, but I didn't have to bother looking for them because there were many cassava trees planted next to the hut.
After I picked the cassava leaves, I immediately returned to the hut and helped my friend to light the fire, and also helped him to cook, all the equipment here is done manually and very traditionally, where we cook only using firewood and with several stones to support the large cauldron.
For those who don't know the deliciousness of shrimp paste chili sauce plus young cassava leaves, you should try it immediately, because the taste is very delicious and tasty, and will probably make you eat as much rice as possible.
And when the food was almost ready, we called my uncle who was still doing his job under the hot sun, so that we could eat together. Not long after, my uncle returned to the hut and joined us. Everything had been prepared, starting from the banana leaves as the base, then we put shrimp paste on top.
This is an extraordinary happiness and pleasure, I can not express this happiness through words, but I am sure you can feel the happiness that I felt at that time, the food was very delicious and added with this extraordinary togetherness made the atmosphere really pleasant, nothing more and nothing less, this was perfect.
The cold air accompanied by the wind that continued to blow towards us made the atmosphere much cooler and calmer, especially the beautiful scenery that decorated our lunch.
We immediately finished the food without leaving any leftovers, everyone enjoyed it and it looked like everyone was feeling the same happiness, so those are some pictures that show the fun I had with my friends and family, and a little story in this post, hopefully this post can provide entertainment for all my friends.
