Hello my dear Hivers of the @familyandfriends community. I hope you're all well and safe.
On September 7, 2025 we celebrated the birthday of nephew Mark Gedeon.
It's like another family reunion for us.
They live in the next town actually, so we only get to see them seldom. May be once a month, if lucky sometimes they visit us twice in a month.
So his birthday is something really special to us. The whole family really made an effort to the food preparation.
Prior to his birthday, we already agreed upon the food that we will bring during this day. That's our way to help my brother and his wife. To lighten up the load so they won't have to spend for all the food preparation. It's not a fancy birthday celebration anyway. Just family and friends and it's good to go. We don't worry about venue or decoration because they decided for practicality, we just do it in our parent's house.
The cake was also sponsored by my sister in law's sister. Everything is in order. About 6 in the evening, our relatives and their children came. And having been a tradition during birthdays, my brother would give some thoughts from the bible to share to everyone.
After that the food was blessed and everyone wasted no time. We all digged in to the food prepared.
Mark Gedeon we fondly call "Pokoy" enjoyed his day. He loves having children playing with him. Have I mentioned also that he is considered a "miracle baby"? Yes,he is. My sister in law is diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). She didn't undergo any medication. They didn't even thought they would have a baby anymore.
They have been married for 7 years already before she got pregnant. That's why we consider him a miracle baby.
