Here are some of this week's sightings for this #featheredfriday
I noticed a few of the bluebird boxes had juveniles leaving the nest.
These two were in and out of their nest box over and over again.
They would fly out just a bit further each time, but would eventually return back to the safety of the box. I'm sure by tomorrow they will be far from these boxes.
The tree swallows also were doing the same thing. I often see these guys still using the boxes even after nesting season.
Here is a rare sighting for me. I usually hear them but rarely get a chance to see one. I heard this one high up in the tree and was able to barely catch a glimpse of them.
The cardinal was easier to get a shot of high up in the tree.
They are still being brazen for territory. I even saw some get into a fight but didn't have my camera ready.
Here's a common starling looking nice and colorful in the bright sunlight. I'm sure its off to peck a hole in someone's house though.
This is the closest I've gotten to a song sparrow.
I saw quite a few juvenile robins out too. They were still cheeping for their mother but the mother was trying to give them distance to learn to be on their own.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
