Hello, hello, hello,
Happy New Year!
I wish you all health and prosperity, luck and lots of happy moments with our feathered friends.
This is my first post for 2024 and I choose the swan to start with. If you remember I mentioned how I was looking for the swans last week and I went down to the beach. Well, what a disappointment, there was just one swan. And zillion seagulls.
Usually I have seen twenty at least, but this time they have gone and sure enough they are back, but I don't know when I will go there again. so, for now let me present the only swan I had the pleasure the photograph.
Gracefully paddling in the shallow water.
and surrounded by the noisy gulls.
came closer
like a swimmer coming out of the water
small waves crushing in the feet
And who wants to be in such company? Seagulls were many more and some people were tossing food, making them nosier.
The swans stay for a couple of months before they return to their places in the North. The winter is mild by far, but the forecast is for cold days ahead and temperature to drop below zero degrees Centigrade. I remember other winters with snow covering the beach. It did not last long, but the swans stayed and it was amazing picture of sea, snow and swans.
As you can see it was a sunny day when I met this guy. I don't know why I think it is a male.
Anyways my walk wasn't in vain, I got other birdies and it was pleasant walk as a whole.
And that is all for now. Until next encounter with the feathered friends!
Thank you for viewing my post.
