we put out water for the birds several places in the garden for both drinking and bathing. in the afternoon the most popular place for birds to drop in is the bath we have in the front. it's ideally placed under some young trees so they don't feel too exposed but also such that we can view them from inside the front door and take photos without disturbing them. there are three separate bowls with different depths near each other. at times there's a que of different species but rarely any fussing and fighting.
orange-headed thrush Geokichla citrina reside in the neighborhood and they can often be seen around the house, either feeding on fruits and insects under the trees or in the bath.
