Durban Decay
Crime and corruption has turned a world first-class city into a crumbling nightmare, no matter how often we show you the magnificent natural environment, one can never turn a blind eye to the filth we endure. Glimpse at the river bank closely, see what washes down, unless people go in to clean, down to the sea it goes.
Over 5 year period we endured floods, looting during riots, pandemic lockdowns killing many livelihoods, why so many turn against nature when that is what we rely on, we all animals in a world that needs logistical thinking to progress. Most plan to live life in cleanliness, buy a home, plan to save/pay back, why not a little extra give back to the environment by planting a tree or fruit for all to enjoy.
Currently with strike action in Durban joining fray again, loadshedding, water outages, high crime, it's a city where most on are their knees. Alleviating poverty starts right in your village, no need to ask, we can see desperation written all over faces? These are simple thoughts mulling around ones head.
Those who enriched themselves taking from the poor, there is no place left in the world for this type of behaviour, driving fancy new EV's when slave type labour is employed to enhance some, while people are drowning in poverty. Sleep well at night with security, comfy in your bed, how do you?
Even my monkeys have sufficient to thrive on now walking my garden over the last couple of days, they have the little black berries in the tree.
Some palm tree berries now ripe with a variety of palm trees in the region they go from house to house enjoying variety.
Needless to say thoroughly enjoying Guavadilla's along with the gang, regular visitors to forage for food.
Plant for today and tomorrow, plan around food it appears to becoming a source we will all be required to learn even living in high rise buildings, there is a roof on each one!

Thought for Today: "Any dead fish can flow down the river but it takes a live one to swim back up stream." - African Proverbs
