The second "Fork in the Road" along My Journey

critical_thinking.png

Are you a critical thinker? Yes, sometimes, always or just when necessary.

First, let us review what makes one a critical thinker.

critical_thinking1.png

Oh wow! Doesn't really look like it defines a quality in every brain. And in my 68+ years of life experiences I have learned that most people are not critical thinkers. This is not said to diminish the quality of anyone's brain but to acknowledge that every brain operates in its own unique way. We all operate under the control of a very complex organ. An organ that is host for a central control center of our nervous system.

So we all have a central control center and it is safe to say that all humans are emotional beings. If your not an emotional being I would like to learn more about you. You may be an alien. And that is okay cause in my world, when I experience the first response from another human, my thought process activates an alien lifeform check list. As I learn more about this new alien lifeform I slowly build on a relationship of trust, understanding and collaboration for a mutual benefit that aligns with a common purpose. Do you know your purpose for being here today at this moment? Before I share my purpose, I want to explore critical thinking a bit more.

What percentage of the population are critical thinkers?

critical_thinking2.png

Fair to say, by default we are not all critical thinkers. However, we can improve on the effectiveness of our central control center by adopting a structured process improvement framework. My default coding defines me as a process centric person as oppose to a result oriented person. Are you process centric or result oriented? There are tool and testing that you can use to help you better understand who you are, what makes you tick and what is your purpose. This is extremely important and by investing time and resources you can complete a profile assessment. I have completed this process a very long time ago and I have accepted that I am an INTJ person. Once I did that, my whole life changed in a very positive way. I learned not to waste time, energy and resources on doing things I was not very good at and started to focus on mastering the things I am good at.

Now before I share my current "Fork in the Road" I need to share the first fork in the road I experience on Hive. It was a life changer as well.

fork_in_road.png

My ePayTraffic.com site/program is about making money from moving internet traffic. I am a big thinker. I want to generate a lot of money for me, family, friends and community. I say money but it is about much more than earning money. I decided that my online business would deliver products and services within the largest possible marketplace. That marketplace turned out to be the internet.

epaytraffic_creation.png

As you can see from the above snippet, I have been playing in traffic for a few years. While playing in traffic I got to know a lot of people that were into making money from churning traffic and money making programs. Paid to click, revenue sharing, affiliate marketing and advertising, online business tools, manual traffic exchanges, gamification opportunities and more. I evaluated many sites, programs, business owners, influencers and many other entities.

In March 2023, I was invited to join Hive. The invite came via a chat discussion on a very popular and active traffic exchange website and program. The chat was with Jon G Olson. The chat was viewable to all members of the traffic exchange site. He was pushing in chat his latest project called CTPX. So asked him why one would join another program of his knowing the history of failed projects. Because of his failed projects, I did not receive money owed. I was not alone and I know some who made money as well. The amount of money was not very much and insignificant to my financial status. What bothered me the most was that a little bit of money to me turns out to be a lot of money to other users/members of these money making projects. I already had a few years of experience with these programs that were online for a short period eventually died, got sold and/or funded the next iterations of a money making idea.

So Jon and I came to an agreement where he paid me a few dollars and he set me up on CTPX with access to Hive. He had not regained my trust at that point but I was open to giving him another chance. Again, I was not driven by the money perse but following my Learn Before You Earn philosophy. So my journey became a Hive journey.

Along this Hive journey, I became the most active member on CTPX. I started to see some earnings and got to meet many more people. It was a good idea to onboard traffic exchange users unto Hive blockchain. As I learned more about Hive layer 2 tokens I started to support many projects which included me buying a lot of tokens, staking and delegating. It was a great plan until I got a virtual punch in the face. The coder for CTPX had to address some personal concerns which meant that the project was extremely vulnerable because of a one-of operation. Jon decided to sell to his friend, another established Hiver and that gave hope to many users. During the transition is when Jon and I had parting ways. All trust disappeared and I have no idea how long it will take to return. Now I love everyone, some people I like more than others and some people I don't like and some I cannot trust. That is just life and so you move on. How you move on is the output of a critical thinking process you follow.

Around Dec 8, 2023 is when I faced a fork in the road.
https://peakd.com/hive-102963/@fjworld/peptevent-toofuckeh-5-combatting-the-experts

I seriously considered leaving Hive completely because I was having feelings that Hive was just another medium for some people taking advantage of a system and its users. Also, I was initially discouraged by some personal attacks. Not by Jon but from one of his followers.

When I am faced with a very important decision where it will impact the rest of my life in a significant way, I implement my 24 hour sleep rule. That is, meditate and reach a point of mindfulness where I can playback in my mind what led to the fork in the road. I open my toolbox filled with skills and techniques to break everything down to the smallest part and reconstruct a more favorable pathway. The sleep part is most effective. I have trained my brain to process a lot of data while I sleep. Well, our brain does a lot of processing while we sleep by default but you know, you can influence your processor to analyze what happened before you fell asleep. Sometimes I place a note pad next to my bed in case I wake up with a solution to a problem I am trying to solve. I have solved million dollar problems this way. Also, I have learned that I can influence a desired outcome by placing a document/note under my pillow and literally sleep on it. I can share more on this in a future blog. It's not a normal thing.

The VENN diagram below shows a simple framework that helps me solve many problems. It compliments other tools I use in a decision process.

About a month before I came to my first fork in the road I had introduced my TooFuckeh problem solving token.
image.png
My purpose on Earth is to influence change in a positive way so I leave the planet in a better state then how I found it. Everything I do rolls up to this purpose. You see, I am descendant of a genocide that happened where I am sitting right now. So I am very sensitive to these types of events currently occurring in Gaza. This is a major TooFuckeh problem to solve but you know, I can use the PPT framework and quickly point out the root cause. It is in the people domain of our model and more specifically, Benjamin Netanyahu.
https://peakd.com/hive-102963/@fjworld/pept-introduces-toofuckeh-tag

I am not one to runaway from a problem solving opportunity. So let me continue with my fork in the road decision. I did a deep dive into the root cause of what was unfolding and leading up to a major decision. I had to figure out a way to cope with building something unique in a chaotic environment. An extremely emotional environment. I am not suggesting it is chaotic for everyone cause there are ways to program our mind to take advantage of the power in avoidance. I could have decided to not be a builder and focus more on authoring and curating. I think that is an easy way for me to share and earn on Hive. However, that would not be enough for me to achieve my purpose.

I decided to go forward as a game player and that Earth would be my gameboard. Having fun would be my highest priority and the product of my fun would provide additional revenue streams I could share with anyone interested in working together. Everyone has their own journey and by collaborating on projects we increase the possibility of creating synergy. This synergy is required to manifest exponential returns. So the game is afoot and the entry to the game is via veridiPASS gaming platform being developed via Project ePaytraffic.

The following snippet shows 10 tokens I created in support of PEPT ecosystem and economy. This is foundational to what will unfold with veridiPASS.

I have many Hive accounts that supports our PEPT models. I was about to create a blog that would address all these accounts and function but that got delayed when I started to read more about the Hive reward model and all its pros and cons.

So now I am getting closer to talking about my current fork in the road and the impact it has on my journey.

For a few months now I have been interacting with @ecoinstant and that interaction has opened many more possibilities for earning potential. When I say earn and earning I don't mean just financially. For example, the output of a relationship building process is the input of a money making process. Alex and I are building a relationship. We have become friends sharing common interest and aggressively learning from each others interest. He is a builder and a people person. Yes, a problem solver as well.

As part of our relationship development, we agreed to exchange some tokens with an understanding that we would review project/Hive activities and make changes as necessary based on results. I am happy to say the results have been very good. I started to learn more about staking, delegating and curating. I participated in his "does it make money" offering and I volunteered to do some testing on "YourFrontEnd" project which I support for DHF funding. You should support his DHF project as well.

In the testing part of our relationship building I encountered an unexpected reaction. In his view, I understand I crossed the line when I became a discord friend with his developer. Now I will not share any private conversation from discord but I can say, discord conversations can be a huge disruption to ones productivity. Especially so if you do not have a defined and agreed to code of conduct. I say this cause one can say something, or ask something which seems very innocent but turns out to be a big problem to the other party.

This time the fork in the road is not about evaluating if I stay on Hive but about who I connect with and what I say or ask in Discord.

Alex's concern, which I greatly respect was stated loud and clear. In fact, so loud and clear it created a strong emotional concern to me. A lot of thought processing took place and I decided to enforce my 24 hour sleep rule. I walked away from the conversation knowing that I would have an official response today.

This morning when I started my Hive routine I saw the following post in my feed.
https://peakd.com/@ecoinstant/continuous-process-improvements

Well, I'll be dammed how some #TooFuckeh shit works it way out. I had a great sleep, I'm energized and sharing this long post in hope that it will add value to some readers and in particular, to Hive builders. I'm confident that my eco friend will appreciate the value.

I am thinking it is next to impossible to be a builder on Hive without making connections on Discord and asking a bunch of questions and sharing ideas. So that is not going to change. However, I can define my own communication process based on a code of conduct while on Discord. It's not the first time I said/asked something on discord that caused an unexpected reaction. I mean I do like to shake a tree cause I often get a lot of valuable information I would not get if I did not challenge an existing way of doing things.

So the journey continues and the path is adjusted to be more aligned with the process Alex has defined. In fact, I will need to spend some time in refining my own customer service process.

Wow! over 2200 words so this is my longest blog ever.

Thank you if you have made time to read all of it. I welcome all feedback, comments and questions.

@thecrazygm I apologize if I placed you in an uncomfortable spot. Certainly not my intention.

#LUV and positive energy to all.

I just want to make clear. You didn't "cross the line", you showed me a line that I shouldn't let anyone cross, in the future!

YOU ARE APPRECIATED!

I understand what you are saying. A lesson learned from more than one perspective.

I may have not been the most clear in the process, but you are a champ! Helped me figure out HOW to say it. I noticed quick because this "back door customer service" absolutely DESTROYED a previous project we had been involved with. I have never been clear about it, you helped a lot.

I consider you a professional! And for the most valuable of your services, I will pay bounties - let's get the most #toofuckeh stuff fixed first!

That is music to my ears. I thank you as well for sharing this experience and getting it out on the chain. An immutable tracking system for event, incident and problem resolution takes customer service to a new level. It reminds me of the work I did many years ago to implement a set of ITIL best practices in our IT organization.

I consider you a professional! And for the most valuable of your services,

You are very kind and astute. When I took a retirement package in 2010 from NB Power Corp I was paid as an Information System Professional (ISP) Level 4. I will need to blow some dust off my workbooks and modernize my own ITIL processes.

The last few days I got pulled away from my usual daily activities so I got behind in some tasks. Tomorrow my priority is getting some documents together for my accountant. You will see less Discord activity from me while I complete another Plan-Do-Check-Act iteration for PEPT. Testing YourFrontEnd will be included so expect a post/comment in a couple of days.

Cheers

Thank you for sharing your experience in HIVE, your post is to reflect for a while.

Thank you as well.

is to reflect for a while.

Indeed the intent. I struggle to get the words out and in the right order to stimulate thought. I know it is never 100% and that in a way is a good thing. It means that at a latter time along the journey I can review what I said and make changes for continuous improvement. A PEPT Plan-Do-Check-Act process improvement cycle.

Moon is coming

For the 100th time in the history of the world....Keep my name out of your mouth.

I have asked nicely, but now you are started to become libel. Leave me alone. It's pathetic. I have to hear from others you are still bringing me up and stating falsehoods.

Just ignore me, like I have you for years.
