Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - Sacrifice the Lettuce!. Hope you enjoy the story.
Lettuce is an important member on a salad bar, we would definitely see it place in one, it is inexpensive, tasty and being green means it also comes with a set of health benefit. In Korean BBQ, they are also provided in large supply to go with those delicious grilled meat. But lettuce are definitely not something that we would pick up first immediately when we hit any restaurant. We would go for snacks and other sides first.
Likewise, there's a slang for money being referred to as lettuce nowadays, thus in our daily live, lettuce would now have more than one role, other than being on our table, it is also a member in our wallet everyone in an economy is working hard for.
Ironically, the same word would have 2 different treatment, the one on our dinning table be the first to be sacrifice if all present are full and unable to finish up all the dishes. whereas in our wallet, it would instantly become the most important element that we would definitely not sacrifice, we would work hard to earn and then to safeguard and to everyone's own definition, to use it wisely.
