The most beneficial part of it is that it's a compiled language vs an interpreted one, which usually has some speed benefits (although on modern hardware this is mostly negligible and not the argument that it used to be)
But..
I like the idea of binary distribution. If I write a really cool tool and people that don't know much, but at least trust my tool can download cool-tool / cool-tool.exe and that's it, no building, no environment setup, no fuss.
