RE: Phone language can get complicated

in #communicationlast month

Texting is so convenient that it has become overused by pretty much everyone these days. When you are in the office it is so much easier to deal with a text than it is phone call that I prefer them in that scenario. But with your spouse I can see he might want to talk, when it's possible I would do the same.

I'm the same with the speaker, I don't like holding the phone up to talk. I completely understand that one as well. It's also much easier to convey bad news by text message! One of the funniest stories (now anyway, not at the time) is when my ex girlfriend broke up with me by text message. The funniest part is she waited until it was my birthday to be extra cruel! lol To be fair we hadn't been getting along well for months and it was a long distance relationship. I'm sure if I ever ran into her again we would both laugh about it now!

Face to face is the best way to communicate. You are much less likely to misunderstand important body language cues!

Oh my god, that's very mean of her. But yes, even hard conversation become easy when they are not face to face, but then you can become extra mean also...like your ex-girl friend...haha
