RE: Every day is a new challenge

Privileged "white" people? Perhaps? :p

Its crazy how different people are and what they expect even when they don't read your rules xD

I was just at a 3 starred hotel in The Netherlands last weekend and they changed our towels daily & did the bed, which me and my friends found really weird for not only a 2 nights stay, but also because we had our stuff in the room and the staff just went in without notifying us first?
It was very weird too us :/

Also, the hotel wasn't well managed, some lights was crooket, it was a little bit dirty and the doors to the toilets all had water damage x)
Weird place, but cheap xD

No they were not. These are the local people throwing their weight around.
I am ok with any place as far as they mention everything clearly before booking, because then it's an informed decision.
Here in India also we have the same practice that the housekeeping will do the cleaning part even if you are away. If you do not wish them to enter the room, you can switch on the do-not-disturb sign, then they will not. All of the housekeeping people are honest. Till date I have never had experience of any missing things in this situation.

Ohh thats annoying!! :c

Ohh interesting. I think our problem was we were never told they would do it x) So we didn't get the chance to opt-out and we also didn't have a "do-not-disturb" sign :/

Yes, ofc the majority of housekeeping people are honest, so were the people at this hotel :D
We just wasn't informed :c
