Hi community!
After the winter market, his value has risen by 37 million euros.
Good news for FC Barcelona. LaLiga has made public the cost limits for the sports squads of the clubs in the First and Second Divisions and the Catalan club has gained a salary margin. If in September it was at 426 million euros, the new salary limit for Barça is 463 million, with an increase of 37 million euros.
This news is further proof that the club is doing things right financially and is facilitated by the income from the sale of VIP seats at the future Spotify Camp Nou, something that led the club to the 1-1 rule. The increase in Barça's salary limit is very significant since February of last year, when it was only 204 million euros. In one year, this limit has risen by almost 260 million euros.
As for Real Madrid, the club with the highest salary cap, it remains at 754 million euros, far behind any other club in La Liga. After Barça and Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid is placed, with a cap of 314 million euros, four more than it had in September. The top-5 is completed by Real Sociedad, with a cap of 160 million, and Villarreal, with 135 million. The 684,000 euros that Sevilla has as a cap on its squad cost is striking. The Andalusian club, which after the summer transfer market only had a cap of two and a half million, finds itself in a dramatic situation.
This cap on the cost of sports squad is the maximum amount that each club can consume during the season and includes the expenditure on players, first coach, second coach and physical trainer of the first team (registrable squad) and the expenditure on reserve teams, youth teams and other sections (non-registrable squad).
The concepts included in the cost limit for the squad are: fixed and variable salaries, social security, collective bonuses, acquisition costs (including commissions for agents) and amortisation (the purchase amount of the players charged annually based on the number of years of the player's contract).
Barça would like to see this regulation changed, as they do not see it as fair that the League includes spending on sections and women's football in this limit. They consider that it penalises them compared to other clubs that do not have them, especially when Barça is the club that has invested the most in women's football or that invests a lot and well in youth work.
See You soon!
