Barcelona will not return to Camp Nou this season. It's now official. The club has sent all its members and season ticket holders an extension to the end of this season. Until now, the club was still considering the option of playing some LaLiga matches in the final matchdays, but this option has now been ruled out. It remains to be seen whether the stadium will be in condition for the start of the next season.

We are pleased to announce that the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys 24/25 season pass extension has been extended to include the first team's men's football matches in the La Liga and UEFA Champions League competitions until the end of the 24/25 season. "If you wish to extend the extension you already purchased for these new matches, you can do so using the following link," reads the email Barcelona sent to its members.
The club had been delaying the date of its return to Camp Nou for some time. Initially, the return was scheduled for last November, but that was quickly scrapped. From there, it was moved to the end of January, when the team's Champions League playoff run ends. Then it was April, then May, and finally, now the entire season.
The club's justification for postponing the return to its stadium is that during construction, a series of unforeseen events arise that hamper the work. On the one hand, it was the arrival of some necessary materials or skilled labor, and on the other, a series of permits that didn't arrive on schedule.
Another reason the club cites is weather events such as the summer drought or the heavy rains, for example, that have been falling these past few days. With a very tight schedule and faced with all these situations, the club has decided to finish the season at Montjuïc.
