If there is one thing I've come to love so far, it is the thing called "crocheting." I did it back in high school, but then it wasn't as passionately as I've found it now. And talk more of having people "Ooh, sorry about that." I meant "clients." Yeah, you heard right. I've gotten a few clients lately. Sorry, recently, I shared a post about someone who loved the headband I made and wore to church.
So that person wore the headband I made for her and someone saw the headband and loved it. She gave the person my contact and the person reached out to me and was like, "I would love for you to make me a black headband." Immediately, I became shocked because I never thought I would actually have clients that I would make headbands for.
I feel super thrilled sharing this experience here because my crochet journey started here on Hive and in the "DIY" community. It was the only place where I shared my crafts and got positive feedback from people. And currently, the offline world is beginning to see my craft, and I love it.
Materials used.
Yarns "black color"
Crochet needle
Procedures involved.
So I started by making a slip knot. Then I continued to make sixty chains.
Then I continued by skipping the first chain then inserted my hook into the second chain and made half double crochet inside the remaining chains.
After getting to the last chain and making my half-double crochet, I ended with a chain one turned my project, and continued making half-double crochets.
I repeated the same process till it got to my desired length of the headband and I ended my project with a chain one and cut out my yarn.
And it was time to join the edges to get the "X" shape. Then I inserted my yarn into a sewing needle, "which I didn't capture an image of." Then I folded the edges into each other and started sewing. I didn't do the normal pattern I've always known. So, with this project, I decided to try another pattern I saw online.
I folded the edges together without leaving any openings like the previous ones I've been making. In this particular one, I sewed everything together at the same time. After sewing to get the "X" shape. I was done with my project.
This particular headband looked a lot different from the previous ones I've been making so far, and I'm glad that it came looking unique.
