🎆🎇Celebrating the Thadingyut Festival or Lantern Festival with family🎆🎇

Hello my loving Asean Hive community,

Warm greetings. Welcome back to my new blog. How are you and everything is fine? In the area where I live, many children are getting dengue fever. The cause is mosquitoes. My brother also got dengue fever about a week ago. I haven't been posting new posts because I'm taking care of him.

Last month, the 6th, was a full moon day. On that day, we celebrated the Thadingyut festival in our country. Simply put, the Thadingyut festival is a festival of lights. Today I will tell you how I celebrated the festival of lights with my family that day. I was not feeling well that day, so I am posting a new post now.

Since it's the festival of lights, candles are definitely include. My mother bought one of those colored candles. Every wax my mother bought came in 5 colors.

I lit colorful candles in front of my house.

And I lit candles on the porch. Our porch is silver, so it looks really pretty when lit. It was a little windy, so I had to be a little careful when lighting the candles.

While I was lighting the oil lamps in front of my house, my mother was lighting the lamps in the backyard.

Then my father and I launched a balloon together. First, my father put hot air inside the balloon. Then he lit the wood at the bottom. In the area where I live, they believe that you can pray when you release balloons on this day.

I also prepared 9 types of fruits to offer to the Buddha.

All the pictures I took that day are listed above. That's all for today. It's been a while since I shared a recipe. So tomorrow I'll share a recipe. Thank you.
