The sun was going down. It was almost sunset. The sky was still bright, and I could see the sun far away. It was a very quiet afternoon.
I heard a rustling noise nearby. There is a big vacant lot with many green plants and trees. My cats like to play there all the time. I looked for my cats. They were not in the grass. They were sleeping on the hard ground. They were very peaceful.
What was creating that noise, then?
The noise did not stop. I heard leaves moving. I heard little sticks snap. Something was walking in the bushes. I was very curious. No one usually goes there because it is private property. Only we have access to it.
I walked over to the lot to see. I saw something big. It was very black. At first, I felt a little scared. Then, I saw what it was. It was just a cow. I felt much better and started to laugh.
Then I saw another one. It was a brown cow. It was standing near me in the green leaves. Both cows were just eating and walking around the bushes. It was a funny surprise for a quiet sunset.
What a busy afternoon. It was nice to find new friends in the backyard. 😁
