“Walking: the most ancient exercise and still the best modern exercise.” – Carrie Latet

Good day, HIVERS!! ☀️
It was a sunny morning today. My husband and I went out for a walk, and the weather seems to be joining us.
The sky was bright and clear, and I could feel the warm and gentle sun on my skin as we walked. It wasn't too hot because of the soft and light morning breeze. It also swept over the mangroves by the side of the street, making the twigs and thin branches sway lightly. I heard the leaves rustle softly around us.

It wasn't a quiet morning, cars, jeepneys, tricycles, and other vehicles were buzzing past us nonstop. It was chaos.
But even with the loud rumble, I didn't mind, as if I was in my own world, lost in the moment. My ears were set to the soft rustle of leaves, our footsteps, and my husband enthusiastically pointing out every single bird perched in the trees 😅

As we kept on walking, we passed by a church holding morning mass. The sounds around us changed from the sounds of nature to ringing bells and soft church music playing in the background.
We stood quietly across from the church, reflected for a while, and decided to end our morning walk.
