Reflections in Dirty Water
Lately, walking through the city means constantly seeing garbage scattered almost everywhere. Of course, the fuel shortage affects garbage collection and many other services, but sometimes it also feels like people themselves have stopped caring. Perhaps everyone is overwhelmed by the situation, exhausted by daily problems, but the result is the same: neglect becomes normal.
It is sad to see how some people do not even respect the effort of others. Someone cleans the surroundings of a building, cuts the grass, or collects trash, and shortly after another person throws garbage from a balcony instead of taking it down properly. Small actions repeated over and over slowly turn the city into a reflection of discouragement.
While walking, I came across a dirty puddle on the street. In the middle of that stagnant water and debris, the reflection of a car and its trailer appeared. The contrast caught my attention immediately. Even surrounded by dirt, the reflection still managed to create an interesting image, as if beauty and decay were forced to coexist in the same space.
The photos were taken with my mobile phone, and for the English version I used Google Translate.

Hola, amigos de la comunidad #ShadowHunters, gracias a la amiga @olgavita por convocarnos a esta iniciativa en su Reflection Hunters Contest – Round 270.
Reflejos en agua sucia
Últimamente, caminar por la ciudad significa encontrarse basura por casi todas partes. Claro que la escasez de combustible afecta la recogida de desechos y muchos otros servicios, pero a veces también parece que las propias personas han dejado de preocuparse. Tal vez todos estén agotados por la situación y los problemas diarios, pero el resultado es el mismo: el abandono se vuelve normal.
Es triste ver cómo algunas personas ni siquiera respetan el trabajo de otros. Alguien limpia los alrededores de un edificio, chapea la hierba o recoge basura, y poco después otra persona lanza desperdicios desde un balcón en lugar de bajarlos como corresponde. Pequeñas acciones repetidas una y otra vez terminan convirtiendo la ciudad en un reflejo del desánimo.
Mientras caminaba, encontré un charco de agua sucia en la calle. En medio de esa agua estancada y los residuos, apareció el reflejo de un automóvil y su tráiler. El contraste llamó mi atención de inmediato. Incluso rodeado de suciedad, el reflejo lograba crear una imagen interesante, como si la belleza y el deterioro estuvieran obligados a convivir en el mismo espacio.
Las fotos fueron tomadas con el móvil y para la versión en inglés utilicé el traductor de Google.
