Early today, I stumbled upon a short movie clip and I watched how a single choice that would have been avoided, ruined a happy family. I watched how responding to anger forcefully and uncontrollable anger destroyed all that a man had struggled to build for years, destroyed in a few days.
He allowed a single decision he made out of uncontrollable anger, which led to the death of his son and wife. I felt distressed watching this video. All I could possibly say was, "He had a choice."
He would have walked out and focus on getting his family home.
I couldn't help but blame the man for responding to his anger, even after his son called him repeatedly, but yet he chose to let his temper get the best of him.

Getting angry is inevitable and unavoidable, but we always have a choice on how to respond and control the situation.
A single decision made due to anger can change the life of a person in a few seconds and that's why controlling how we respond to anger is necessary. Controlling temper could save us from regret and resentment towards ourselves.
I know and understand that anger is a natural feeling amongst humans. I have been angry. There's no individual on earth that hasn't felt angry before and how it's responded to, could cause severe damage or save us.

I learnt from an article I read some time ago, that anger is a quick response, and the actions we take when we are angry aren't processed by the brain and that's why one of the ways to control anger is definitely by pausing before reacting and taking a break to think before responding.
Personally, I take a walk, especially when I'm tempted to react impulsively.
Practicing to pause and walk away will really prevent regret and many worse situations.
A break like this will guide you into resolving a conflict peacefully and by having a simple negotiation.
Take a deep breath and relax, and ask yourself questions about the situation, and you will realize that some actions aren't worth responding to, but rather ignoring, addressing in the future and even walking away from.
Taking a deep breath and relaxing to consider the risk and danger your actions might lead you, people your actions might hurt or affect and these could save you from regrets, pain, bad situations and many more.

Uncontrollable anger/ temper is an attitude, habit and a trait that causes weak and dangerous decisions. Being silent doesn't make anyone weak, but instead gives a chance for the best decision and shows intelligence.
This is just a thoughtful post and I hope it guides how we respond to anger and learn to walk away. Life is so unpredictable and responding to an emotion like anger could cause regret and everlasting pain.
Thanks for reading ♥️
