The medium through which salvation comes to us is by the Word of God. It is through the Word that God created the world. We are the products of the word. We are what we constantly talk about ourselves. We are made by the word of God and it is by the word of God that we shall be preserved.
When we get to understand what God is telling us in His Word and we follow the same, the word of God will profit us. We are not profited if we only hear the Word of God without understanding what we are hearing. Hearing with the hearing of the ear without proper understanding will not build faith in us. We must receive the word into our spirits.
To gain from the power of God’s Word, we must be listeners. Listeners are those who understand what they are hearing. We must open our spirit to the Holy Spirit so that he will reach us the word of God to our understanding.
