I noticed this little plant growing quietly among the others on the balcony. At first, I thought of pulling it out. It didn’t belong there..it looked like a weed, something that just grew on its own without being planted. But then I saw the flower.A small, bright yellow bloom sitting right in the middle of all that green.The color felt alive, almost glowing in the light. It didn’t look like something unwanted anymore. It looked… aesthetic. So I left it there.
मैंने बालकनी में बाकी पौधों के बीच चुपचाप उगते हुए इस छोटे से पौधे को देखा। पहले तो मैंने सोचा इसे निकाल दूँ, क्योंकि यह वहाँ का नहीं लग रहा था, एक खरपतवार जैसा जो बिना लगाए अपने आप ही उग आता है। लेकिन फिर मेरी नज़र उसके फूल पर गई, एक छोटा, चमकीला पीला फूल जो सारी हरियाली के बीच खिल रहा था। उसका रंग ज़िंदा सा लग रहा था, जैसे रोशनी में हल्का-सा चमक रहा हो। अब वह अनचाहा नहीं लग रहा था, बल्कि बहुत ही खूबसूरत, एकदम aesthetic, इसलिए मैंने उसे वहीं रहने दिया।
Sometimes, we’re quick to remove things that don’t fit where we expect them to. But this little weed made the space look better, not worse. It added something natural, something unplanned, something real.
कभी-कभी हम उन चीज़ों को जल्दी हटा देते हैं जो हमारी उम्मीदों के मुताबिक फिट नहीं बैठतीं।लेकिन इस छोटे से खरपतवार ने जगह को खराब नहीं, बल्कि और खूबसूरत बना दिया।इसने कुछ प्राकृतिक, कुछ अनियोजित, और कुछ सच्चा सा जोड़ दिया।
I took a few pictures of the balcony cat. Sitting between the railings, surrounded by plants, with soft light falling on his fur. In some moments, he looked curious. In others, he looked like he didn’t want to be disturbed at all. But he stayed there, peaceful in his own way.
मैंने बालकनी में बैठे उस बिल्ली के कुछ फोटो लिए। वह रेलिंग के बीच, पौधों से घिरा हुआ बैठा था, और हल्की सी रोशनी उसके फर पर पड़ रही थी। कुछ पलों में वह जिज्ञासु लग रहा था, और कुछ में ऐसा जैसे उसे बिल्कुल परेशान नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। लेकिन वह वहीं शांत बैठा रहा, अपने ही अंदाज़ में सुकून से।
Maybe not everything that grows where it “shouldn’t” needs to be removed. Maybe some things just need to be seen differently.
शायद हर वह चीज़ जो वहाँ उगती है जहाँ उसे “नहीं होना चाहिए”, उसे हटाना ज़रूरी नहीं होता। कभी-कभी बस नज़र बदलकर देखने की ज़रूरत होती है।
