When i closed the balcony doorthis morning to keep the heat out i spotted the cat focussing on something.
Anything that moves is intresting enough for the cat to play with .
I noticed a jumping spider on the window , so i grabbed my camera i still had the ultra macro lens on it from yesterday with flash unit and started to follow the spider while trying to keep the cat away, i don't want my macro models being killed in the photshoot .
Using flash light while the subject is on the window is always a tricky thing, and a jumping spider that just keeps on moving isn't helping either , and o yeah narrow focus area and manual focus .
All images are created by me with my Sony A7II + Laowa Venus 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5x Ultra Macro with 2.5 - 5x magnification + Godox V1s at 2.5 magnification and f8 .
it seemed the spider wasn't only being hunted by the cat it was also hunting for something
the length of the spider was +/- 1 cm
This is what the spider was hunting for
but it flew away and landed on the floor
and then it dissapeared again ..
the soft flashlight created a nice reflection in the doubleglassed window
and the spider kept on moving
o look at my mussels ... /Flex
yes indeed it's a male
yes i did rotate the photos because it makes it easier to watch
here you can see the other eyes on the side
