I took some pictures of different leaves around the yard. This is a nice maple leaf.

Another maple in a different color.

A cluster of maples leaves. I like taking shots that show the leaves as they are - blemishes, shadows, insect damage. Nature is beautiful without Adobe Photoshop 🙂

This is a beech leaf. I have several large American beech trees along one side of the yard. They a gorgeous green wall in the summer then yellow to gold in the fall. Not as pretty in the fall as the maples.

This is a hornbeam leaf. Very similar to beech but beech trees only turn yellow.

Finally, a shot of the shoreline of Lake Dunmore. This is a good idea of what we are seeing this year. It hasn't been a consistently good year for colors but there are nice splashes of color if you take the time to look around.
