Today was one of those days when I woke up without a clear plan on what to cook or sell. I didn’t get the chance to buy stocks yesterday, so when morning came, I honestly thought, What am I going to sell? Still, instead of stressing myself, I reminded myself to look at what I already have. Sometimes, ideas don’t come from abundance but from limitations and today proved that again. ☺️
When I checked the fridge, I still had some vegetable lumpia ready to fry. I cooked it first, thinking of selling it, but later decided to keep it as our viand for lunch instead. At least, nothing is wasted. After that, I checked my remaining ingredients and thought of something simple that kids and even adults would enjoy. That’s when the idea of making fish balls came to mind. ☺️
I gathered all the ingredients I needed and started mixing everything by hand. It was a bit tiring but fulfilling. Then, fried them carefully. Seeing them turn golden while frying already made me smile. ☺️ It’s always satisfying when something you thought of suddenly becomes real food. ❤️
After frying, I thought about how to present them. Good thing we still have stocks of disposable glasses and toothpicks. I packed 5 pieces per glass and priced it at ₱10 each and that's affordable. I also made a simple sauce, and whenever someone buys, I just pour the sauce directly into the glass. Simple, clean, and easy to serve. ☺️❤️
Aside from fish balls, I also continued with what’s already been a favorite which is chocolate-flavored ice candy. Ice candy has really become my daily product because both kids and adults keep looking for it. That’s why I make sure there’s always stock. 💪
Yesterday, I prepared a batch of choco ice candy and placed them in the freezer overnight. Seeing them lined up before freezing somehow gives me joy and it reminds me that small efforts add up. 💪❤️
Since ice is also one of our best sellers, I made sure to prepare ice as well. It may sound simple, but selling ice really helps, especially during hot days. Little by little, these small items contribute to our daily needs. 💪
Today, the chocolate ice candy is already frozen, firm, and ready to be sold. Seeing it ready makes me feel accomplished. It may not be a big business, but it’s honest work done at home. 💪
I’m truly grateful that even with limited resources, I’m still able to earn even just a little and at the same time provide food for the family. Nothing goes to waste. If it’s not sold, it becomes our viand. That alone already feels like a blessing. ❤️
Days like this remind me that productivity doesn’t always mean doing big things. Sometimes, it’s just about using what you have, doing your best, and staying grateful through it all. 💪❤️🙏
