Easy and Delicious Recipe for Pork, I cooked “Pork Igado” for our Lunch Today

Hello friends of Hive Food community. It’s good to be back again and sharing different food recipe’s here in this community. How are you all doing? I hope you had a wonderful day everyone.

The price of the pork now here in our place became cheaper than before, that’s why I decided to cooked some pork recipe for my family for today’s lunch. It was called “pork igado”. Even though the ingredients available at my kitchen is not complete, I will still cook it anyway, haha. So, join me again in my humble kitchen as I share to you this pork recipe.

Ingredients: 1 kilo pork 1 pc. carrots 1 pc. potato 2 pcs. laurel leaves 2 tbsp. ground pepper 3 tbsp. soy sauce 2 tbsp. calamansi juice 1 pc. pork cubes 2 tbsp. vinegar 5 gloves garlic 2 small onions 1 small can liver spread

Preparation:

In a bowl add chopped pork cut into strips. Then marinate it with soy sauce, calamansi juice and pepper for at least one hour.

As I marinate the pork meat, I cut the potatoes and carrots into julienne cut. Mince the garlic and onions. Then after 1 hour we can cook our food.

Heat oil in a pan. Add the chopped garlic and onions. When it was already aromatic, add the marinated pork meat and sauté it until the color of the meat changes, add the remaining marinate sauce then cooked it until the sauce is reduced. Add the liver spread and mix well, then add 2 ½ cup of water enough to make the pork tender.

When the water is already boiling add the pork cubes then mix well until it was dissolved, then add the vinegar. Don’t mix it when adding the vinegar for at least 1 minute. Then add the carrots and potatoes and let it simmer for al least 5-7 minutes. Mix from time to time so that it will not burn at the bottom.

After 7 minutes, we can enjoy this delicious recipe of pork which is called “Pork Igado” here at our local place. The other ingredients that must be added to this recipe was pork liver, red pepper and green peas. Maybe next time I will share it again with a complete recipe. Still the outcome was still delicious and my family enjoyed the food.

Yummmm! Igado, pero tawag sakin nito Batchoy, sa iba Batchoy is soupy foods ata no? Anyways the only kulang here is the real pork atay, ang Igado ba walang atay?

May pork liver Siya, hehe, Nilalagyan din ng red pepper tsaka green peas.
