Today's walk took me to the front of Santa Ana Church, a well-known religious temple in the city where I baptized my daughter Alma a year ago, an event of which I have fond memories.
I had some errands to run in the community of Caigüire, and I took the opportunity to walk around for a while after finishing them. While waiting to cross the street, I began to contemplate the small details of the building, which has been remodeled several times.
Although not large, the place is cozy, ideal for the congregation of parishioners living in the area. We can also enjoy its colonial structure. Inside, there are several plaster images and stained glass windows through which light filters in, elements typical of religious temples.
In the background, like a large curtain, you can see the imposing Pan de Azúcar hill in the distance. It is a great view when you take in the whole scene, with the blue sky and clouds framing the white and beige building, an image that would make an attractive subject for a painting.
I have visited this church on several occasions, and I remember them all, but the ones that have left the deepest impression on me were a Mass to ask Jesus Christ for my daughter's health and her subsequent baptism two years later after receiving the miracle of her operation.

El recorrido de hoy me llevó hasta el frente de la iglesia Santa Ana, templo religioso muy conocido en la ciudad y donde hace un año atrás bauticé a mi hija Alma, evento del cual guardo gratos recuerdos.
Tenía que realizar algunas diligencias en la comunidad de Caigüire y aproveché para caminar un rato tras realizarlas. Mientras esperaba para cruzar la calle , me puse a contemplar los pequeños detalles de la obra, la cual ha sido remodelada en varias ocasiones.
Aunque no posee grandes dimensiones, el lugar es acogedor, ideal para la congregación de feligreses residentes en la zona. También podemos deleitarnos con su estructura colonial, adentro hay varias imágenes de yeso y vitrales por donde se cuela la luz, elementos propios de templos religiosos.
En el fondo, como un gran telón, se puede observar el cerro Pan de Azúcar, imponente a lo lejos. Es una gran vista cuando unimos todo el conjunto, se aprecia el cielo azul con múltiples nubes enmarcando la edificación pintada de blanco y beige, imagen que bien puede resultar atractiva para representar en un lienzo.
Han sido varias las oportunidades en la que he visitado esta iglesia, las recuerdo todas, pero las que más me han marcado han sido justamente una misa para pedirle a Jesucristo por la salud de mi hija y su posterior bautizo dos años después tras recibir el milagro de su operación.
