Lunch Date with Mama in Our New Favorite Restaurant_ Eating _Dinuguan_ Agai_20250521_160419_0000.png

It's been a long time since I last had Dinuguan, I used to eat this all the time in Mother's small eatery. But since she close it down years ago, it's been that long since I last eaten one. This is not my favorite but I like to eat it with rice or with Rice Cake or Puto especially if it was cooked really good. Dinuguan a Pilipino dish that contains pig blood, I know not all people eat this so excuse me (人 •͈ᴗ•͈). Some Dinuguan has Pork intestine some used pork meat and fats. As for me, I prefer the meat with fats, I'm actually not a fan of Pork intestine.

And so, during our visit in Pinamalayan, I had the chance to eat, once again, the Dinuguan. It's actually Mama who ordered it but then when I saw it, it looks so good that I can't help but had a taste of it. I really like the way they cook this, it has alight tanginess on it which comes from vinegar, and the pig blood made the stew more yummier. As because I chose this dry pork patties (╥﹏╥) - the Dinuguan soup helped me swallow my foods with ease, lol. And the restaurant where we eat this Dinuguan is the same one where we had the Lumpiang Ubod before.

Sorry for the poor quality of the image, I couldn't take much more photos of the menu because there's a lot of costumers that time and it'd be rude if I just take a photo, haha. And yeah, the menu you see here is just half of them all, there's more on the next table including the Dinuguan Mother that ordered

And these are what we ordered, Dinuguan for Mama and Pork Patties for me and two order of rice. They also have free soup just like last time.

I actually regretted that I picked this patties here, it's too hard for me to chew. It's too thin that I think that affect the texture of the torta. I should've just get The other dish and not This ome. As for Mama, she enjoy her Dinuguan, it is a combination of pork meat and fats which make it more tastier.

Anyhow, even if it's dry, I still enjoy our lunch. I also enjoy Mom's Dinuguan, haha. And of course, we'll definitely come back here again and try their other dish.

So after our good lunch, we then visit the Market and Mama spotted this kakanin vendors and can't help buying some of it. It's just Mama who buy it though, I am planning to buy a bread that time and buying kakanin is not in the budget, lol. But seriously, these kakanin looks really good.

But what caught Mama's attention eas this colorful Pichi Pichi. It is freshly made, that's for sure, it is so soft, it was coated with grated coconut. Pichi Pichi is made with cassava by the way. Mama eat her pichi pichi like a dessert. I didn't eat some coz i'm already full ┏(^0^)┛.

Nice to read how you and your mother had an enjoyable time together in your preferred restaurant! The Pichi Pichi made with cassava (which I also like so much) looks really delicious! But I still also wonder why in the markets they still always use a huge amount of plastic packages for every single piece of food? Partly I understand why, but still ...

Yep, everyday is a great moment with her. Hehe. And yah, that too much plastic usage, maganda sana if they will use paper nalang, kaso public market kasi, fir them siguro di convenient ang paper bag or whatever, mas pricey pa 🥹🥺

Sarap naman ng dinugoan 😋

Nakain ka din nyan? Uwu

I use dto est dinuguan sis, back in college there was a resto that sells them in a good price, but it was very far now, it's been years since I last ate dinuguan. Im gald you had an amazing time with your mom

Maybe it's time to have them again? Hehe

maybe not yet sis, I haven't seen dinuguan being sold in our place now, there was one time when my sister in law cooked it using the pig we slaughtered but I got too busy to go to their house and ate some.

Nakakatakam naman 'yung mga foods. One of my favorite dish is Dinuguan din, pero usually hindi ako kumakain ng ganyang dish kapag sa labas. Trust issues na rin siguro na baka mamaya hindi maayos ang pagkakaluto and nasanay na rin ako sa luto nila mama 😂 On the other hand, mahilig naman ako sa talong HAHAHAHA torta ang pinaka-gusto kong style ng pagluluto.

Ay same kapag sa labas, naibigan lang na mag buy here coz it looks malinis, sana nga malinis, aguyyy haha. Ay same sa tortang talong, ano mas bet mo with flour or egg lang? Mas may lutong kapag with flour kaso mas bet ko talaga with egg lang hahaha

the pork patty and pichi pichi looks good~. Glad you had a nice lunch date with your mom :). I have promoted your post with ecency so hopefully more people see it. Have a great week ahead ya

They taste really good too, hehe. Thank you so much for that, I appreciate it a lot ✨✨☺️

You're welcome haha!

I like dinuguan, whenever restaurant I ask if they have that kind of food. The moments with our mom is the kind we enjoyed a lot.

Ohh, do you also cook them at home? That dish is good especially during fiesta 🤣

Pichi - pichi is my favorite pair with coffee of Royal 😆

Ehhh, di ko pa to natry with coffee. uwu

“Aww, now I’m craving Dinuguan too! Especially the kind with just the right amount of vinegar. Even though my husband is Malaysian, he loves dinuguan and he knows how to cook it. and that pichi-pichi? I don’t say no, even though my stomach is full hahaha.

Haha, can you also cook it! Maybe it's time to cook some too and satisfy your cravings 💃✨. Tapos paki bigyan mo nalang din ako, paki lbc nalang 💃😆

Yeah! I will cook one of these days, dugong baby. Here in Malaysia, it's a bit hard to get. And if I lbc to you, the dinuguan will become spoiled.
