Desmalezando los alrededores de la casa [Esp/Eng]

I haven't written on the blog in a while because I've been busy with work, making lists of elementary and middle school students, each with a large amount of data, but taking advantage of the last day off during these Carnival days, I'm writing to tell you that my neighbor and I agreed to clean the outside of our houses.

Hola mis amigos de Hive y @home.solutions, tenía tiempo sin escribir en el blog porque he estado ocupado con cosas del trabajo haciendo unos listados de alumnos de básica y liceo, con una cantidad de datos cada uno, pero aprovechando el último día libre de estos dias de carnaval les escribo para contarles que con el vecino nos pusimos de acuerdo para limpiar la parte de afuera de nuestras casas.

We live on an unpaved cul-de-sac, and to top it off, there are only three houses and several vacant lots that, although they have owners, are not being looked after, and the weeds and fairly large bushes are encroaching on the road where the car passes and also on the entire front of the house.

At least our house is fenced in, but our neighbor's is not, and that is a real problem because the weeds had almost completely covered the front and sides of his house, and the vermin in the bushes get into the house, even snakes.

Nosotros vivimos en una calle que no está asfaltada y además es una calle ciega, y para completar solo hay tres casas y varios terrenos solos que aunque tienen dueño no están pendientes de ellos y la maleza y unas matas bastante grandes se meten hacia la vía por donde pasa el carro y también en todo lo que es el frente de la casa.

Por lo menos nuestra casa está cercada, pero la del vecino no y eso si es un verdadero problema porque la maleza le tenía todo el frente y los lados casi tapados además que las alimañas que hay entre el monte se meten a la casa y hasta culebras.

In view of this, we have gradually started to weed as much as we can because I think that at some point we will have to ask the city council for help, as there are some plants that have grown too much and it will be difficult for us to cut them down, but in the meantime we have been doing what we can.

I took care of cutting everything that was encroaching on the road because the only one affected was the family car, since the other neighbors don't have cars, and that job fell to me. It's not a very long stretch, and I was able to do it in just one morning.

En vista de eso poco a poco nos hemos puesto a desmalezar hasta donde podamos porque creo que en algún punto va a tocar pedir apoyo a la alcaldía porque hay matas que ya han crecido mucho y va a ser difícil que podamos cortarlas, pero mientras tanto hemos ido haciendo lo que podemos.

Ya yo me encargué de cortar todo lo que se estaba metiendo en la carretera porque el único que estaba afectado era el carro de la casa porque los otros vecinos no tienen y ese trabajo me tocó a mí, es un espacio no tan largo y lo pude hacer en solo una mañana.

Yesterday I started working on the front of the house. There are a lot of branches and some bushes on the front yard that are blocking the path, even though we don't use it, but it's better to keep it clean to prevent animals from getting into the house and also to make the house look better.

I still have a long way to go, but with what the neighbor has done and what I've done, it looks much clearer. The joke is that I don't have much time, and neither does the neighbor, but at least the rains have stopped, which slows down the growth of the brush and also starts to dry it out, but even so, there is still a lot to do.

Ayer me puse con el frente de la casa que del terreno del frente hay muchas ramas de monte y algunas matas que se meten al camino aunque por ahí no pasamos, pero es mejor mantenerlo limpio para evitar que los animales se metan a la casa y también para que la casa se vea mejor.

Todavía me falta bastante pero ya con lo que ha hecho el vecino y lo que he hecho yo se ve más despejado, la broma es que no tengo mucho tiempo y el vecino tampoco, pero por lo menos las lluvias pararon y eso frena el crecimiento del monte y también se comienza a secar, pero aún así hay mucho por hacer.

Bueno mis amigos eso sería todo por hoy, no prometo escribir seguido porque a veces no me da el tiempo. Espero que hayan disfrutado de los días libres. Saludos y hasta otro momento.
