THE CHARM OF TRADITIONAL ACEHNESE HOUSES // Discovery of a traditional Acehnese house in the middle of Langsa city forest park

in Worldmappin4 months ago

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️

In this post, I'll share my experience visiting and exploring a traditional Acehnese house within the Langsa City Forest Park. This was actually my third visit to this traditional house, however the main purpose of this visit was to check and ensure the condition of the traditional Acehnese houses after the floods a month ago in Aceh. The traditional Acehnese house is an icon of Acehnese culture that must continue to be preserved, so it would be a shame if this traditional Acehnese house was lost in the flood, so I want to make sure.

I was so happy when I arrived there because the buildings were still standing strong without the slightest damage, so I can conclude that the flash flood disaster in Aceh a month ago did not reach the Langsa city forest park, but what made me concerned at that time was the condition of the surroundings which were very dirty and filled with thick bushes and wild grass.

Even though the flood disaster has ended, its impact is still felt until now. Around the traditional Acehnese house, I did not find any other visitors, and I did not even find any officers there. At that time, I was alone and the door of the traditional Acehnese house was wide open, but I did not dare to explore the inside. This house is located right inside the Langsa city forest park and is located a little on the edge of the forest.

But not long after, an officer there came to me and asked my intentions and goals here, after explaining the intentions and goals, finally I was given permission to explore this Acehnese traditional house, but the officer did not linger there and immediately left. At that time I had to think hard whether I should explore the inside of this Acehnese traditional house or not, but the conditions inside the Acehnese traditional house were very dark and it made me a little scared Lol.

Because I was alone, I decided not to explore the inside, so I only focused on exploring the outside. As we already know, the traditional Acehnese house is shaped like a rectangular stage, and under the house there are also several unique facilities.
This is a very luxurious chair and looks like the chair of the kings of the past, and is very suitable for taking photos there.

In the front yard of this Acehnese house, it is also decorated with ornamental plants and colorful flowers, and there is also a building there which is also made of wood with typical Acehnese carvings, and this building is a prayer room. After ensuring that the condition of the traditional Acehnese house was fine, I decided to go to the lake area.

This lake is not too far from the traditional Acehnese house, maybe only about 300 meters away. Walking there is the right choice because we can see the surrounding conditions more closely and enjoy the refreshing natural atmosphere.

Until today, I am still curious about this lake, the question is whether this is an artificial lake or a lake created by natural factors itself. This lake also has cloudy and brownish-yellow water, its size is not too big and not too small, but there are boat rental facilities there that allow visitors to go around and explore this lake.

Oh yes, inside Langsa City Forest Park, we can also find many huts located in almost every corner of the park, these huts have a very important function, for example as a resting place for visitors. Of course, after exploring Langsa City Forest Park, we will definitely feel tired and will definitely look for a place to take shelter and rest, that is the main function of these huts, which are randomly arranged and almost everywhere in this park.

Wow, it’s great to hear the traditional Acehnese house survived the flood! Exploring it must have so exciting and a little nerve wracking too, its nice to check its condition and to show care about preserving culture.

You are absolutely right, hopefully this place will be visited again by many people in the future.
Thank you very much for your support and kind comments my friend

A very beautiful exploration. The things from the old era were very extraordinary. Everything was made very beautifully with thought. The post is very beautiful, seeing many Acehnese houses makes me want to know more about it.

Acehnese traditional houses are one of Aceh's cultures that must be preserved.
I'm glad you like them. Thank you very much for your support and kind comments.

The typical acenehese houses looks so cool ilm always fascinated by old wooden structures, I wish I could visit your country one day especially the rural and traditional area but also the many cool sea spots you shared!;

Thank you very much for your kind words
I really appreciate it, have a nice day my friend 🙏
