In this post I will share an experience and moment of my success in finding some interesting objects such as tiger beetles, wildflowers, and beautiful red mushrooms. Of course this was done intentionally with the hope of getting satisfactory results, again and again oil palm plantations are still the main area where I look for interesting objects to photograph.
Today the sun is shining quite brightly, the light even penetrates between the leaves, I am also very excited today because the weather is very supportive. Different from before, this time I chose to look for objects in the middle area of the oil palm plantation because there is a large puddle there.
"-----Wild flowers-----"
Still in the main area of the oil palm plantation, I immediately managed to find a very beautiful wildflower.This flower is small in size but with a very beautiful color, namely bright yellow, this flower has a relatively stable population in my area, it is not too rare and not too numerous.
"-----Tiger beetle-----"
This oil palm plantation is very large, but luckily I managed to reach the middle area. There I continued to look for insects and several interesting objects to photograph until finally I managed to find a very beautiful insect, namely a tiger beetle.
If we look for this insect on leaves or on grass,we might not find it, because this insect often spends its time on sandy soil. Believe me, this insect is very fast, almost like the speed of a fly that can fly quickly when we want to hit it.
I am interested in this insect not because of its body shape but because of its very unique color, this insect has several colors on its body but blue is the most dominant color. I can't be sure how many colors there are on its body but what is visible is green, white, orange and black, and these colors are spread randomly over the body of this insect.
I experienced many failures when photographing this insect, but I also didn't want to miss this moment, this insect kept flying when I tried to photograph it. I really felt satisfaction after I managed to take several pictures of this insect, I was very satisfied because I also managed to photograph this insect from several different angles.
Around this oil palm plantation, I saw a lot of plants and grass that were starting to turn yellow and dry. At first, I was confused, but not long after, I realized that this plantation had been sprayed with herbicide,perhaps the effect of this grass poison is what made many insects in this plantation dizzy and lightheaded.
"-----Red mushrooms-----"
And finally, under a pile of oil palm fronds, I managed to find a very beautiful mushroom.A rare mushroom.? I don't know whether this mushroom is rare or not, but to be honest, I rarely find this mushroom.
If seen from the top, this mushroom will look completely red, its size is not too big and not too small, photographing this mushroom with a macro lens is the right choice. To be able to get a beautiful picture, I also tried to add moss decoration around this mushroom, and I tried to photograph it from various different sides, from top to bottom.
