Amidst the soft whisper of dry leaves and the warm sunlight, a pair of Indian Cupid butterfly were making love on a dry branch. They looked so relaxed there, oblivious to my presence. It was as if the world belonged to them. Their bodies were intertwined, as if they never wanted to let go. A beautiful, eternal moment, created by themselves.
The dry branch also seemed more than just an ordinary place. Instead, it was the stage for a story sung by these tiny creatures. Even though it was beginning to rot, the branch seemed to be holding on with all its might to provide the most beautiful stage for them. It was as if the branch was holding its breath to avoid disturbing the most beautiful moment of these tiny souls. You could say the old branch was a silent witness to the love story of these tiny creatures.
The dried leaves provide a beautiful backdrop for this extraordinary moment. A stark contrast to their gray costumes, dotted with dark and orange spots. Two orange spots on the tips of their wings resemble eyes ready to observe the world. These aren't just colors to enhance their wings; they're actually weapons used to deceive their enemies.
Moreover, near the orange dots, there's a fine tail that closely resembles an antenna. I'm sure enemies will mistake those two bright orange dots for the butterfly's real eyes. That's a key characteristic of this butterfly, and it's also a powerful weapon for deceiving enemies and helping them survive.
