This is my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw
Hello friends of
#fungifriday, good evening wherever you are.....
Without realizing it, Friday has arrived again, it's time to share beautiful moments from beautiful mushrooms found in the wild. Well, today I managed to find a very beautiful pycnoporus sanguineus mushroom. I found the mushroom growing alone on a fallen tree that was starting to rot. The mushroom is very small, about the size of a little finger. Its shape is similar to a fan and is bright orange.
Even though it only grows alone, the mushroom still stands tall, illuminating its surroundings. It never complains and it is never jealous of the flowers that bloom around it. At first glance, this mushroom looks ordinary because of its simple shape, plus its very small size. Many people ignore it. But in my opinion, this mushroom is extraordinary, it is one of the main actors in the natural cycle in this dry season. Only this mushroom is able to survive in very hot weather.
Seen from a slightly far distance, this mushroom is indeed meaningless. But when we observe it at a closer distance, this mushroom becomes extraordinary. The top surface is very smooth bright orange decorated with fine gradations, at first glance it looks like thin velvet. While the bottom surface is very unique, similar to a bee house. For the texture of the meat, of course this mushroom has a hard texture like wood, that's why this mushroom is able to survive the dry season with very hot weather.
