Flies of the genus cosmina

in Nature Observer20 days ago

Between the gaps of the green leaves moistened with morning dew I saw a beautiful fly that was stopping quietly there. She is the most beautiful fly from the Genus Cosmina. This fly is a little different from the flies we often encounter, she doesn't like dirty places. She spends more time among the fresh leaves and beautiful flowers in the wild.

Look at her small body, it sparkles when the sun shines on it. The sparkle that is emitted is very beautiful like living liquid metal. Emerald green blends beautifully with golden copper, very beautiful. A color that is rarely found in other flies. Her presence on the leaf is like a secret gem provided by nature but we often ignore it.

Did you know that behind her tiny body and rarely getting attention, she is a creature that carries stories about biodiversity. She is a silent witness to the balance of the ecosystem in this world. She is indeed not as popular as butterflies and dragonflies, but her presence in this world is no less important.
