On a stretch of fresh green leaves I found a Chrysosoma globiferum fly perched quietly. It seemed like it was waiting for the sunlight, maybe it was cold last night from the heavy rain. This fly was a little different from the flies I often encounter, this fly has long and very fine antennae.
At first I thought it wasn't a fly, because its antennae were long. The flies I often encounter have short antennae and rounded tips. But this was very different. After I added it to inaturalist I found out that it was really a fly and came from the Dolichopodidae family.
The fly was very small, if our vision was not sharp enough, the fly would not be visible. It was so small that I had a little trouble photographing it, the color it had was also the same as the background, it was difficult to adjust the focus point. It was super small but its beauty made me crazy about wanting to have it.
When the sunlight shone on it, the color of its body became even more enchanting, a metallic green that sparkled like a living gem. A pair of large golden eyes that were ready to monitor the entire world. Not to forget a pair of clear wings displaying colorful light like a rainbow. The wings are very thin but have extraordinary strength, able to carry the fly wherever it goes. Its long legs make the appearance more graceful.
