Children’s Day is a special celebration in Venezuela. Personally, seeing little Alma’s smile makes me happy and keeps me going. Every day she gets into some mischief—it’s her way of letting us know she’s doing well and is happy. She has incredible energy—so much so that my mom can’t keep up with her—but I have to admit that my energy runs out much faster.
Ever since she was born, she’s shown that she loves melted cheese just as much as I do, so that just goes to show she really is my daughter 😂. With that in mind, we decided to take a break from screens and the digital world and went out for pizza at the main location of Fatima Bakery, a very popular spot when it comes to eating. It had been a while since we’d treated ourselves like this, and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.
Sometimes, outings turn out perfectly without any planning at all. The goal was clear: to have a good time, spend time with the family, and enjoy a delicious meal. My husband did a great job taking the photos. We ordered a family-size pizza with ham and corn—a fascinating combination that we loved.
Alma was happy; her smile lit up the place. She loves to eat, so she sat quietly in her seat while enjoying her slice—she was focused on her own thing and didn’t look around 😂. The place was packed, since here, right in the heart of the city, they offer a wide variety of dishes, including ice cream and desserts.
The most important thing was that I managed to make Alma smile and that, despite all the adversity, I gave her a pleasant moment away from home so she could make memories with her parents.

El Día del Niño es una celebración especial en Venezuela, en lo personal me alegra ver la sonrisa de la pequeña Alma que me impulsa a seguir adelante. Todos los días hace una travesura, es su forma de indicar que está bien y es feliz. Tiene una energía impresionante, tanto que mi mamá no puede llevarle el ritmo, pero igual debo admitir que mi batería se agota mucho más rápido.
Desde que nació ha demostrado que ama el queso derretido, tanto como yo, así que queda demostrado que sí es mi hija 😂. En vista de eso, decidimos apartarnos un rato de las pantallas y los escenarios digitales y salimos a comer pizza en la sede principal de la panadería Fátima, una referencia muy popular cuando se trata de comer. Teníamos tiempo sin darnos este gusto y esta ocasión fue propicia para ello.
A veces, hay salidas que son perfectas sin ningún tipo de planificación. El enfoque estaba claro, pasarla bien, compartir en familia y comer delicioso. Mi esposo hizo un gran trabajo al tomar las fotografías. Pedimos una pizza familiar con jamón y maíz, una combinación fascinante que nos encantó.
Alma estaba feliz, su sonrisa alegraba el lugar. A ella le encanta comer, así que se quedó tranquila en su asiento mientras disfrutaba de su porción, estaba concentrada en lo suyo y no miraba para los lados 😂. El lugar estaba lleno, pues acá, en pleno centro de la ciudad, ofrecen gran variedad de platillos, incluyendo helados y postres.
Lo más importante fue que logré sacarle una sonrisa a Alma y que ante tanta adversidad le regalé un momento grato fuera de casa, para que acumule recuerdos junto a sus padres.
