Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗
I am more of an indoor person, even though I like going out sometimes. I really do appreciate the outdoors occasionally.
Seriously, I enjoy being at home more; I find happiness, solace, peace, and contentment in the quiet ambience of my indoor sanctuary.
I don't know if it's just me, but there is this calmness I feel when I am in familiar surroundings (my home); I feel this sense of security and tranquility.
I am not the type that needs external forces to be entertained or get me engaged. I find joy in my own company; when I am alone, my mind is usually busy; I am either lost in my own thoughts, reflecting on my life and how far I have come in achieving my goals, or I am just daydreaming (lol).
There is just so much to do when I'm indoors. Sometimes I am just going through people's posts here in Hive, or I am either listening to a podcast or sermon, or I am reading a book or writing. I am that one person that appreciates the beauty in solitude. Being indoors has a way of making me have this sense of freedom to be myself without judgment from anyone.
There are endless things I can do when I am indoors. My home is my safe haven; this is where I can explore and experiment with my hobbies and interests without any kind of restrictions.
So I love baking and cooking a lot; I am that one person who experiments on things she sees online. YouTube is my go-to channel when I want to try a new recipe. I am always online trying to browse different ways to cook different foods and make different kinds of drinks, even though I have wasted a lot of food items from this, but it hasn't stopped me; instead, every moment of it brings me happiness and joy.
And of course, I am a mom to an infant and a toddler, so I prefer to stay indoors; going out with them sometimes is usually stressful, as I have tiny hands and feet to care for, and I have to pack the whole world into my handbag for either their changeover or feeding. The thought of that most times makes me stay indoors and think of creative ways we can bond and strengthen our relationships.
Staying indoors with them also helps keep them safe from any potential hazard or germs.
I have somehow established a structured routine at home that gives me this sense of stability, and because I can somehow predict how my day would go, this has enabled me to be able to prioritize my self-care. Also, I find ways to rest, have enough sleep, and also eat well.
Because I love to be indoors, I don't feel pressured to conform to the norm of societal expectations of constant social gatherings and interactions.
