Coca cola and Sugars.

Coca cola and Sugars.

I'm privileged to study sugars, their uses and disadvantages in high school. It was one of the most interesting topics back then in school. It actually made biochemistry lively and interesting at some point to study. The end product of carbohydrate is glucose which are referred to as simple sugars that helps supply the brain and other body parts with energy to work. However, excessive glucose intake can result to diabetes.

Sources of sugars are majorly the carbohydrates and in some special instances proteins, fats and oil. Examples of these carbohydrates includes yam, maize, rice, potatoes etc. It is important to note that some of these carbohydrates produce sugars more than the others. Some carbohydrates contains more fibres and little of sugars while some category of foods can produce more sugars in proportion to the amount consumed.

Coca cola is considered as soda drink which is a whole entity of sugars combined with few other chemicals. A bottle of 50cl coke can contain up to 2 teaspoons of granulated white sugar, and many people are drinking more than 2 bottles a day, very terrible.

I am also guilty as charged when it comes to consuming Coca Cola. I know the dangers and I've tried to limit my intake but I still consume few bottles a week specially on days I consume a lot of high protein-rich food like beans. I still find it hard to get the chemistry, whenever I take coca-cola after consuming beans, I find out I do have rapid digestion compare to days I just consume beans then drink water. I'm trying hard not to make that become a habit but it seems difficult to completely stop taking it.

I've employed measures to promote the utilization of these sugars I sometimes take, one of it is exercise. Exercise helps promote insulin sensitivity in the body thereby leading to the rapid utilization of sugars in the blood. Some people comfortably take so many bottles without doing any work to burn out these sugars they're endangering their lives with. Too much sugars in the blood stream is very detrimental to our health, it has so many adverse effects e.g. obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and many more. It is from one health condition to the other. Obesity can bring about insulin resistance/inactivity and diabetes. Diabetes on the other hand can cause one to be more obese thereby resulting to high blood pressure and etc. When sugars find a place to rest in your bloodstream, they form up plagues which makes circulation of blood and survival as a whole difficult..

I find myself taking too much of the coca-cola but I'm glad that it has reduced drastically unlike before, I feel comfortable taking so many bottles of soda drinks, the garage of sugars. There are lots of sugars in these drink and it's advisable you limit the intake, atleast once in a blue-moon. Prioritize eating leafy foods, vegetables, fruits and grains, these are good sources of good health. It's best to drink more water than soda drinks, they have adverse effects that we'll not see them coming untill it comes knocking on your door. Thank you for reading through my blog. This is my entry for the Hive Learners Weekly activity for week 205 episode 1.

Too much of everything is bad. Our bodies needs carbohydrates (sugar) but in a specific quantity. When we go beyond, it becomes a problem. I consume coca cola too but, I have control over my appetite.. as I speak, I can't recall when last I took any...

Bravo.! That's good of you bro.
When you have control over your appetite, you tend to eat more healthy and spend less in fact..
Thanks for stopping by..
