Elisa's Story, Better late than never.

in #risingstar10 days ago

A new afternoon has arrived, friends, and like every afternoon, here I am back with all of you. In this case, I'm back to bring you a new story I've written for you. For those of you who are new, I remind you that these stories are inspired by our beloved Rising Star Game. Each main character corresponds to a card in the game. I remind you that the objective of this post, in addition to creating a story, is to expand the game's history a little further, which is very interesting. That said, today's story is dedicated to the R169 Elisa card, a card that belongs to the people section. So let's begin; I hope you like it.

Our friend Luthien has been playing the piano for about ten years. In these 10 years everything has happened, very good things and not so good things. On the good side she has won many awards, she has met all kinds of people and many love her very much for her style of playing, which they consider to be very special. Also, it was during this job that she met her current husband Gelo and with him she had 4 beautiful children. So without a doubt the piano has brought her many good things for which she is always very grateful. But as I was saying, it has not all been good things. Among the bad things she has had to be under constant pressure from the public to improve herself every day.

She has stopped being with her family because she is on tour or playing. And she feels that time she loses being with them very much, because she knows that there will be no way to get it back. And that, among other things, is what she feels are the most negative in her career as a pianist. She has been able to fight against all odds during all this time and she has really succeeded because despite everything she has managed to move forward.

In these 10 years of her career, she practically doesn't remember how many bands she has played in collaboration with or how many artists she has collaborated with the most. There have been many, to be honest, but despite having participated in all these bands, she has never had her own and that is one of the things that she has always missed in her career. Until now, she had practically been a solo pianist. She has the habit of filling a notebook with her objectives and goals. And she has almost achieved all of them except this one. It can be said that the goal of joining a band has been the thorn in her side. But in part, she is the one to blame for not yet belonging to a band.

Luthien feels very comfortable in her comfort zone and does not like to be directed by anyone. That is why until now she has preferred to work alone, so that no one forces her directly or indirectly to change her style. But after rejecting this for years, she is finally willing to make a change in her life and join a band, but with a peculiarity. Instead of her joining the band, they should join them. For that to happen, she would have to find the right band members and put them together. That way, she would be the leader and would be the one who would have the ability to choose the style of music they would play together.

For this reason, after a year of indecision, she decided that this was what she wanted for her future, to form a band. Her husband and family thought it was great and gave them the green light. She put an ad in all the bars and music schools in the city. The ad said something like this, “Musicians wanted to form a band. Bring your instrument and good vibes. No experience required.” She said it like that to open the possibility that amateur musicians could also join the band without having to be prodigies. For her, a good vibe was enough, and then they would gain practice and experience together.

A few weeks later, the first applications started coming in. The first to arrive was a guy with a guitar slung over his shoulder. He introduced himself as Mart and arrived late because, according to him, time is relative, and I live in a different mental time zone. Luthien found his attitude a little funny. She knew he was just joking. It took her a while to decide whether she was impressed or concerned by his philosophy. The second was Reve, a drummer who came into her house playing her sticks everywhere. The funny thing was, she talked so fast, and Luthien didn't even have time to interrupt her to say hello.

Then a man named Pablo, a bassist, arrived. Of the three who had come, he was the most experienced, having worked with great bands in the past. Luthien started to think and saw that each one brought a very good, positive energy to the band, and Pablo would help balance the scales because he had the same experience as her. So she accepted all three. Now she had a band. They all agreed to call it OPLUS; That name meant it was finally complete with the best. The other members of the band loved it.

Of course, organizing this whole band was a lot of work for her. She had double or almost triple responsibility, and some would say even more. She had to prepare them, prepare the songs and write them. She was also the singer and the pianist. So it was definitely a big responsibility. But she knew that if she wanted to have her own band and be the leader of the group, she would have to do it. After months of rehearsing, she managed to get the 4 of them to synchronize and learn to play together. When they saw that they were ready, they prepared their first concert together. For that, she returned to her hometown, the one where she was born, and prepared everything for that great moment.

Many people in the town were very excited when they found out that she was coming back. Because she hadn't come for years and now it was even more interesting because she came with her own band. Overall, the concert was a huge success, many people attended. This concert marked a before and after for her because now she saw that the band really worked. She only regretted not having formed it much earlier. Now great adventures await the 4 of them, this journey is just beginning.

Dear friends, this is the end of today's story. I hope you liked it. As always, I invite you all to leave me your opinions about the story. I'll love to read your comments. And by the way, if you want, you can recommend me the next letter for the next story. See you soon. Thank you very much for reading.
