In my personal case, I remember that when this song came out, I was still in school, this is back in 2013. Moving on to the lyrics, and looking at this with different eyes, the song talks about several things, although it has a central theme. It talks about heartbreak and “I gave you everything, but you didn't value it”, that's a typical phrase here. But if you start to think or analyze the lyrics as I almost always do, I think it has a background that goes beyond a failed relationship as the song wants us to understand at first. That is to say that it tells you in a certain way and in its own way that we cannot stay stuck where we are not valued. And I'm not just talking about romantic love, mind you, this applies to so many things, such as friendships, goals that wear you down more than they bring you. Do you understand me?

In the literal context of the lyrics of the song there is a phrase that personally catches my attention. In Spanish it would be “Te perdiste mi amor, y yo, y yo te estaba amando”. That is to say translated or rather explained that it is when one accepts that one gave the best of oneself in a relationship, but it was not enough for the other person. That is, not because of something wrong with you, but because that person simply did not know how to see it. It is something that can happen in any context, not only in love. For example, we sometimes, and I say we because it has happened to me and it still happens to me too, that we cling to a project, or it can also be a job, or even a friendship, and then we think that if we give more, we will get what we want. And the truth is that sometimes it just doesn't work that way and the best thing to do is to learn to let go, especially in time. Because almost always in those situations you end up used.
