Hello, today I bring you a new fan art piece in my new drawing style, and I hope you like it. It features Roxas, a character from the Kingdom Hearts video game series. He is one of my favorite characters, especially in his own game on Nintendo DS, where his past and his relationship with his friends are explored. He also keeps asking himself what he feels if he has no heart and is just an incorporeal.
Hola, hoy les traigo un nuevo fan art en mi nuevo estilo de dibujo y espero que les guste. Se trata de Roxas, un personaje de la serie de videojuegos de Kingdom Hearts. Es de mis personajes favoritos, sobre todo en su propio juego en Nintendo DS, donde se explora su pasado y su relación con sus amigos. Además, no deja de preguntarse qué es lo que siente si no tiene corazón y es solo un incorpóreo.
For this drawing, I started with a simple sketch of the character. I want him to be holding the Keyblade, one that is mysteriously identical to Sora's. What gives him his characteristic look is his spiky blond hair, and that is how the first sketch was completed.
Para este dibujo comencé con un simple boceto del personaje. Lo quiero hacer sosteniendo la llave espada, una que misteriosamente es idéntica a la de Sora. Lo que le dará su característica es el cabello puntiagudo y rubio. Así quedó completado el primer boceto.
Alright, now I just have to add the Keyblade, and since he is a member of the Organization, his black coat cannot be missing. When I had the whole sketch ready, I simply lowered the opacity to begin the lineart.

For the lineart of this drawing, I will use the brush with the pencil and particle effect again. There is a post on my blog that contains my collection of brushes, and this brush is among them. That is how the entire lineart of my drawing turned out.

Now, the most fun part is coloring. So I will start with his most distinctive feature, the spiky hair, which is more similar to Ventus's than to Roxas's. So instead of brown tones, I will be using orange and yellow tones.

Now it is the tunic's turn, and it gets a bit tricky for me because there is so much, so much black in his outfit. I will define the areas using the lights and reflections that I will place on the leather material of the clothes.

Only the Keyblade and the boots are left. The boots are very simple, since they will follow the same process as the tunic. For the Keyblade, the hardest part will be achieving that gleaming metal effect.

A few final details, a bit of particles and shine, and his very iconic phrase: "Just me and the Heartless today." Done.
