The name of this lake is not Love Lake but the locals call it with this name because of its unique shape. The real name of this lake is Narligol Lake and is a volcanic crater lake. The lake is situated in a deserted valley surrounded by hills. There is nothing much around, the area looks wild and raw. It was a long drive from the town. We visited the underground city of Derinkuyu and after that we headed for this place.
From the ground level the heart shape is not very prominent but if you look at it from a height then you will see the shape very clearly. It's a very good camping spot also. I would not mind setting up a tent and doing an over-night camping in this place, though I am not sure if there is any wild life in this place. The place even though it's all dry it has a very pleasant energy and feels good being here.
I tried my best to get a full view of the place and this is the best picture I could take. I did not walk up to the lake, I wanted to but we did not have that much time. Our tour guide was already on our head to leave, some-how we managed to get around half an hour to spend.
From this level it looks like a round shape, but if you take a aerial view you can see the heart shape, which falls on the opposite site.
There are 2 galleries the top one gives a very distant view, but the second one has a better view from where I could click these pictures.
Happy to have explored one more new place
Besides some candy carts there was nothing around the place, so living here ideally is not a good idea because these carts will also close down by evening time and after that there is absolutely nothing here so from safety point of view it's not advisable.
