Organizing a trip

in #planning26 days ago

We have a long weekend coming up with 5 days of holidays, my initial plan was to travel to Germany for a week, adding up a few days more. But then with all current problems going on we decided not to travel. But then being a 5 days holiday something has to be done, so we decided a short getaway in the Country itself planning an overnight trip up on the mountains. As we started planning, some of our friends also wanted to join and then some more and it kept adding up, finally now leading to a total number of 30+ people.

When it was up to 20 people, I was comfortable organizing everything, but now the number has gone up so much and everyone coming up with their own preferences which is making it challenging for me in some ways. There are many children also, so I have to factor their special demands also. I always enjoy planning and organizing trips but when it becomes too many people, I feel nervous.

Now one may think why do I need to do everything. So, hubby is a good friend with the owner of the resort that we are going to stay up on the mountain, so everyone has collectively decided that we plan up everything. Since I enjoy doing these things, I took it up. If many people get into planning part, then it becomes confusing also. So far the stay, food everything is arranged.

We are all so excited about this trip and eagerly looking forward to. It has been a while since I made a mountain overnight stay. Lately we have been only doing day visits, and in day visits we need to ensure that we start our descend before it gets dark. This time it's going to be relaxed and I can enjoy my sunset. I am feeling sad that my Germany trip did not happen as I was eagerly looking forward to. Anyways now that I will plan in the later part of the year when the situation stabilizes.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

It looks like you've put on your event planner hat while organizing this trip 😉 Have a blast at the resort with your friends. Germany is not running away. I'm sure you'll be able to travel to Europe once things return to "normal".

I miss my HR days :-) when I would do all of this as part of my job
I am looking forward to, hopefully it should happen in this year itself
