Yesterday only I wrote about how Mumbai is so very hot and humid and lacking rains, and look at the magic. Today morning it started raining, and now midday and it's still raining suddenly making the weather cool and pleasant. Every single person in the city has been waiting for this. Thank God, before we got into any crises mode we have been saved. Else just a few more days of dryness and we would have been in trouble.
Yesterday morning I had some outdoor work to be done, I did not feel like stepping out but had no choice. I carried my umbrella to protect from scorching heat. By the time I returned hime, I was feeling drained out. It has become really bad, we needed it.
In the last few years, Mumbai seasons have been going erratic. Sometimes there are heavy showers in a short duration and then long dry spells. Both of them are not good. Mumbai temperature in Summers would normal go up to 35 to 36 degrees but now we see it going to 39 and 40. People are getting sick due to extreme fluctuations of temperatures. It's impacting in so many ways. Last year it started raining by mid may only and went on till mid oct. The normal season is June to mid Sept.
Anyways it's so pleasant today. Just one downpour and the weather has changed. With this we wil use less air conditioner now and save on electricity bills. It's also my last week in the city and I was looking forward to some rainy days before I get back to Muscat, which is again going to be hot for the next couple of months.

I had some work and I stepped out for a couple of hours, it was pleasant, could finish all the work with ease and enjoyed soaking up a bit in the first rains.
