If I could live in the world of Movies?
I am a movie buff, I love to watch movies and almost every weekend me and hubby we go to cinema hall to watch the latest release of the week. This has been our habit since the time we have got married. Watching so many movies, I am confused to answer this question as there are many movies that come to my mind, but then when I analyze them in-depth then I feel that I would not want to live that life. Movies are story that needs to be sold and hence there is lot of drama in it, and honestly I do not wish that drama in my life. All movies have some kind of problem first showing up and then in the end everything resolves.
Still if I have to choose one movie then I will go with an Indian movie called "Queen". I am in love with this movie, there is a young girl whose marriage gets called off a day before. They had planned a honeymoon to Paris and Amsterdam, she decides to go alone on her honeymoon because everything is booked. She travels and explores a completely different world and herself as well. She has lot of fun on the go, makes new friends, experiences so many different and new things of life and returns back as a completely different person, confident and bold. I totally love her character in this movie, and since I enjoy travelling this is the movie that resonates very well with me. There is one more on the list, again an Indian movie - Zindagi na milegi dobara (in english it means, you get this life only once). Again this is a movie about 3 friends who embark on a adventure to places before one of them is to get married. In this journey they experience new cultures, meet new people and in all of it also explore themselves and understand what is it that they would want from life. I would like to live in that kind of a movie world, where it's about travelling and going through all sorts of different adventures and experiences of life.
Structured routines or spontaneous approach
I prefer a mix of both with a slightly higher weightage to spontaneous approach. When I was working in a full time job, I was bored to hell. I hated to do the same things daily again and again, I was feeling like a robot and always wished that I had a life where I could just plan my day the way I would like to. When I quit my job, then it was all my way, but I realized that having a little discipline was good, else the day would just pass sometimes so unproductively. So while I do things my way there is still a little structure to it, like waking up at a certain time, then morning time is dedicated to prayers, office work, afternoon is dedicated to home activities and evening is for fitness and leisure activities. So in this way, I am doing things at my pace and time. In this routine things do go up and down at times and that's ok.
My morning ritual
Yes I do have a morning ritual of prayers. Everyday in the morning after waking up, I make my bed, take my bath and then spend 30 to 45 mins in prayers. This is very essential for me to do. I do a little meditation in this as well. Only after this I carry on with my other activities. For any reason if I do not have time in the morning for this then too I do spend 5 to 10 mins in prayers by lighting a oil lamp and spread smudging my home with incense. Only after this my day starts and I do other things. When I am travelling also I do spend morning time whatever possible in prayers. It is a part of my life just like eating food and sleeping, which are essentials.
