There is something almost magical about watching snow melt through the lens. As the ice crystals start to become more translucent and random shapes form, bending light and creating a mystical look. Seeing this up close, magnified with a macro lens, made something that was so ordinary look very extraordinary. All it took was a handle of snow brough inside and placed on a window ledge; heat and time did the work as I observed and found a sense of wonder as water changed form.
