Originally founded in 1883 as a railway division point and mining town, Canmore is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Canada. In the heart of the Rockies with all manner of recreational activities at your fingertips, it's a very popular place, maybe a touch quieter than Banff, Alberta, but still much of the same feel as a world-class mountain town. This view was along the highway, which winds up a mountain and overlooks this quaint little town. These are some of the best views that you can find, and I have always thought it would be a great place to live in retirement.
